Herman Rosse set and costume designs for the Greenwich Village follies [graphic] between 1920 and 1925

Although born in The Hague, Herman Rosse studied at the Kensington College of Art in London and Stanford University in California. He created over 200 sets for stage and film including those for the Greenwich Village follies, the Ziegfeld follies and many for the Chicago Opera Company. A set design of a cottage in a wooded setting, executed in ink, watercolor, and silver paint; four costume designs, mostly of Greek style transparent drapery on semi-nude women, executed in pencil and watercolor. All have Rosse printed on lower right corners.
